I am forced to write this sequel, to my previous article
on Student Visa interview, as I find that there are
many clients of mine who already have a masters degree,
here in India, applying for another masters in the
U.S or U.K.
The Consulates, especially the U.S views this rather
seriously. Their view is that you are probably using
this route to somehow get into the U.S. Butthe fact
is that there are some universities in the U.S, when
approached for a doctoral programme by indian students
request a repeat masters.
If this is the case do have this in writing on the
University letter-head by an authorized person. Also
do your research well, and convincingly tell the visa
officer as to how much more beneficial this programme
is
going to be, apart from the knowledge u have already
acquired in your master's here. U need to have a comparitive
study ready and it has got to be as concise as possible
and it has got to be told in the most emphatic and assertive
way possible.
