Effective Jan19th ’10, The US consulates in India have shifted to Form DS 160 for all non Immigrant visas, in tune with procedures followed in many Consulates/Embassies worldwide. This new form replaces the old DS 157, 157& 158 forms. The highlight of this form is uploading the applicant’s photo (as per specifications provided) online. The applicant needs to take only the confirmation report to the consulate at the time of the interview.
