Intra Company Transfers is applicable for companies
that have an established branch of their company overseas,
and now wish to transfer a key or valuable employee
to their UK subsidiary company. The employee must be
transferred to a senior post within the UK and s/he
will need to have been with the overseas company for
a minimum of six months. Furthermore, for an Intra Company
Transfer work permit, the employer must show evidence
as required by the Home Office that a common ownership
exists between their companies overseas and in the UK.
The employee must possess the relevant company knowledge,
experience and necessary qualifications in order for
a transfer to the position in the UK.
N.B.: Unlike UK Work Permit application,
a company is not required to advertise the position
to be filled for Intra Company Transfer applications.
Nevertheless, they must state the reasons and the duration
of the Intra-Company Transfer.
