Effective 27th nov’08, U.K Immigration launches the PBS Tier 2 & Tier 5 to replace the existing visa categories like Work Permits, Overseas qualified nurses, Ministers of Religion & Working Holiday Makers Under these schemes it is mandatory for the applicant to have a sponsor’s license from the sponsor in the U.K and apply for Entry Clearance with your local British High Commission. Compulsory Maintenance funds are to be shown too. These are points based schemes and points will be awarded for attributes like academics, prospective earnings, jobs in shortage lists, Sponsor license, English language competence and Maintenance funds.
