These services are needed by people who are going abroad for a long stay for education, employment, or some other purpose.
ATTESTATIONS: MHA (HRD, GAD)
- Educational certificates like school certificates and graduation degrees etc are attested from respective states HRD.
- Non-Educational certificates like birth or marriage certificate etc are attested from General Administrative department.
- CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Commercial documents like Invoice or Annual reports etc are attested from respective Chamber of Commerce.
APOSTILLE / AUTHENTICATION: MEA
- Post state level attestation from MHA or Chamber of Commerce the documents have to be apostiled from Ministry of External Affairs for authentication.
LEGALISATION: EMBASSY
- Non-Hague convention
countries (mostly Gulf countries) recognize
a document only after their embassies
authenticate it. For these countries, after
the MEA attestations embassy attestation is also required.

FOREIGNER’S REGISTRATION
- FRRO: Foreigner’s who come to India for long stay require certain services with regard to their visa registration.
- REGISTRATION: Foreign Nationals who stay for more than 180 days in India have to get themselves registered at Foreigners Regional Registration Office.
- VISA EXTENSION: For Foreign Nationals who want an extension for their stay without returning back to their countries.
- EXIT VISA: It is required from FRRO when the Foreign Nationals overstays on his visa or extension application is pending with the Central / State government.
PIO / OCI CARD
PERSON OF INDIAN ORIGIN / OVERSEAS CITIZEN OF INDIA CARD:
Citizens of other countries who themselves or their parents are of Indian Origin are eligible for Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card from Indian government which provides them benefits in India.
