Dependent family members of the L1 visa holders are
eligible to obtain L2 visa. To qualify for this category
of visa, one must be an immediate family member like
spouse and children under 21 yrs.
Benefits of L2 Visa Holders:
As a L2 visa holder, the dependant is allowed to reside
in the US for the duration of the L1 visa holder’s
authorized period of stay. Unlike H4 dependents, L2
visa holders enjoy more benefits in the USA.
- Work full time in the US. For this purpose, L2 dependants
must obtain Employment Authorization
- Document (EAD) card approved from the United States
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Pursue full time study in the US.
- Travel in and out of the US as and when necessary.
